I believe change doesn’t have to be dramatic to matter. A hard conversation finally had, an old spiral caught a little earlier, a morning that feels lighter than the last: every step forward counts, and I’ll meet you wherever you are on that path.
My work focuses on the thoughts and feelings underneath what we do. These are the self-talk, old beliefs and emotions that quietly shape how we show up at school, at work and in our relationships. Together, we’ll get curious about those patterns, work out where they came from and build new ways of responding. I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, all grounded in a strengths-based, multicultural lens.
I work with preteens, teens and adults, and I have a particular interest in peer and relationship difficulties and in racial identity. I love working with young people as they figure out friendships, belonging and who they’re becoming, and I aim to be a steady, non-judgmental ally along the way. My office is an affirming space for questions of race, gender and sexuality, and I welcome Black, Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+ clients.
My background includes Applied Behaviour Therapy with Edmonton Catholic Schools and work as a parent and mental health coach with the Institute of Child Psychology. That experience gave me a practical, everyday understanding of how kids, teens and families work. I hold a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle (2022).
