Our Story
Hi, I’m Stephen — and Little Tree Psychology started with a simple truth I learned long before I became a psychologist: people just need to feel seen, heard, and safe.
Back when I was a teaching student, I noticed something curious. Even after the bell rang, many students would hang around my classroom. They weren’t looking for extra tutoring or waiting for a ride — they were looking for connection. They wanted someone approachable, someone who would listen without judgment. I wasn’t the “cool” teacher, but I was present, and that mattered.
That experience stuck with me. Over the years, I’ve learned that it’s not just children who need that kind of space — it’s all of us. Like Dumbledore wisely said, just because something is in our heads (or we’re young) doesn’t mean it isn’t real or worth attention.
Little Tree Psychology was born from that belief. The name symbolizes a place where young minds — like little trees — can grow strong, resilient roots. While our beginnings focused on children, teens, and young adults, our branches have grown. Today, we provide compassionate, evidence-based care for people of all ages — individuals, couples, and families.
Our mission hasn’t changed: to create a safe, understanding space where every person’s voice matters, where healing can take root, and where growth is nurtured every step of the way.
