Hi! I’m Brenna Oswald, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP), a Bachelor of Education (BEd), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA). I am currently completing the final requirements to register as a Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Life can feel overwhelming, and emotions don’t always make sense—but you don’t have to figure it out alone. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to provide a supportive space where you can explore, process, and build the skills to move forward with confidence.
Therapy shouldn’t feel like a lecture—it’s a collaborative, engaging process that adapts to your needs. I take a whole-body, somatic approach, recognizing the deep connection between emotions, thoughts, and the nervous system. Depending on what works best for you, I incorporate:
- Somatic Experiencing Therapy (tuning into the body to help release stress and trauma)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) (practical skills for emotional regulation, resilience, and self-acceptance)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) (rewiring unhelpful thought patterns)
- Motivational Interviewing (guiding you toward meaningful change, at your own pace)
- Play Therapy (because sometimes the best healing happens through creativity and expression!)
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) (building self-awareness and calm through mindfulness)
When I’m not working, you can usually find me hanging out with my dog, Marvin. He’s got a questionable sense of self-control when it comes to collecting toys from Homesense (honestly, same). Marvin sometimes joins me in therapy sessions, offering an extra layer of comfort and support for those who enjoy a furry friend’s company.
If you’re considering therapy, let’s connect—I’d love to see how we can work together to make life feel a little lighter.
Meet Marvin
At Little Tree Psychology, Brenna offers animal-assisted therapy (AAT) sessions that promote emotional well-being through the calming influence of her trained therapy dog, Marvin. With a compassionate, client-centered approach, Brenna helps individuals build trust, ease anxiety, and feel genuinely seen. Watch the video to meet Brenna and Marvin and learn how their unique therapeutic style provides comfort and connection in each session.
