What are your fees?
As per the PAA's (Psychologist Association of Alberta) suggested fee, we charge $200 per therapeutic hour. We currently accept e-transfers and cash. Credit cards will be accepted soon!
In the event of late cancellation (less than 24 hrs. notice) or no show (failure to attend a scheduled appointment), an outstanding balance will be applied to the file.
Will my insurance cover your services?
Most insurance providers cover psychological services provided by psychologists. However, every plan varies in the amount they cover. This includes setting limits on sessions or maximum total sessions covered. Please refer to your individual plan to be sure what is covered.
Can you direct bill?
It depends on the insurance company. While some companies allow direct billing, some do not. However, if direct billing is not available, that does not indicate that coverage is not. In this case, fees will need to be paid and submitted by the client for reimbursement.
Little Tree Psychology is committed to providing support and services during the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic. We understand that you may not feel comfortable attending an in-person appointment. Therefore, we have decided to offer video sessions to anyone who is interested in therapy, but believes being at home and physical distancing is a priority for themselves or their family.
Do you provide a sliding scale?
Yes; there are several spots available for sliding scale. Sliding scale options can be discussed upon booking or during the free consultation session. Please contact us for more information if you are requiring a reduced fee.
Do you do couples’ work?
Yes. Typically, couples request two clinical hours (100 minutes), as these session can tend to take more time. However, many couples also book one clinical hour as well.
Where can you provide services?
Currently Little Tree Psychology is located in the Tailor Made Wellness Clinical in Sherwood Park. However, given the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, telepsychology services are available. These include phone and video sessions through a secure platform. However, because psychologists are provincially regulated, the client and therapist must both be located in Alberta in order for telepsychology session to happen. Please note that access to a private space and a private network would be ideal in order to maintain confidentiality. If you have questions about telepsychology, the free consultation may be used to see if that service will work for you.
